We have prepared Surat Bantahan (Objection Letter) templates in MS Word format that you can download and use as the covering letter to the Borang Bantahan (the 100+ signatures that is needed to qualify you to submit objections under Sec.5(b) of the 13th Schedule of the FC).

These Surat Bantahan are for both Parliamentary and State constituencies and contains our analysis for malapportionment (both oversized and undersized seats) and gerrymandering (where electoral boundaries cut across local authority boundaries (PBT)).

We have also included the text for other form of gerrymandering like the clustering of unrelated communities (urban and rural) or the separation of those who belong to the same (splitting of villages and housing estates). You would have to list them here yourself as you would have local knowledge of such issues.

We have also included the text for name change request if you feel that the name given to your constituency does not make sense to you.

If you want to take part in this re-delineation exercise as an objector, we would encourage you to download the template for your constituency, review and amend it, download the Borang Bantahan HERE, collect the 110 signatures in your constituency and be their spokesperson at the inquiry by SPR. The deadline for submission to the State SPR office is the 14th of October, 2016.

PLEASE TAKE NOTE OF A MISTAKE IN COMPUTATION FOR SOME SURAT BANTAHAN…
capture_correction-to-template
In Sec.1.2 (a) in the example above, where it says “1.07% daripada saiz purata” should be 107%. Please remove the decimal point accordingly for your constituency.
